Social Media, Tea and Me

Tea. It has become quite an enjoyment for me within the past year or so. Previous to that, pretty much the only tea I drank was herbal tea, which turns out isn't really tea at all. They are tisanes, but that should be a whole different post. The point of this is simply to point out that I found a nice round up of current social networking sites that have a tea focus over on the Tea Guy Speaks blog. When it comes to me, tea and social media, I mainly use Twitter and Steepster. I haven't checked out the others yet but time permitting, I will.

Oh and in case you were wondering what was in my cup today, I went with an Earl Grey from Green Tree Coffee & Tea.

Chillaxin

I have a feeling today is going to be a chill Saturday. Even though it is just past noon, I have just started to get moving. I just finished my first cup of Sencha Fuka-midori from Den's Tea. This was my first experience with Sencha and the tea had a surprising flavor to me. I think I need to go back downstairs and re-steep so I can enjoy it again. Den's Tea has a great green tea sample pack for people who want to try their products. Three bucks, three loose leaf samples, two bagged tea samples and some great info about Japanese green tea. Best tea deal I have ever seen, well other than getting premium loose leaf teas for a gifts. Now I need to find a deal like this for Matcha so I can try it too. Alright, it is time for me to go to go back to listening to Ingrid Michaelson, Jason Mraz and other chill music on the You Tubes.

Coffee anyone?

Last year I got a Senseo coffee maker at no charge other than about a $15 shipping fee. I love this machine. A single cup of coffee in about 60 seconds whenever I want it. Perfect for my bachelor life. The only trouble was that I found myself drinking a lot more coffee.

Now I have found another free coffee testing program through Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company. Their beta testing program is open to coffee loving bloggers. Of course I have to be chosen to be a tester first. But I thought I would pass the information along. I know there are at least a couple of coffee drinkers that check out this site. Enjoy.

On a tea related note... Over the holiday season I learned about PG Tips brand tea through Adam Curry & John C Dvorak's podcast No Agenda. I am in love with this tea!! I haven't been able to find the special blend that John mentioned yet but hopefully I will. Now if someone could help me find a green tea that is just as beautiful...

So, what is your favorite coffee or tea? Feel free to send me some if you are so inclined. ;)
